Warning this story contains vore. If you do not like it don't read it. Don't say I didn't warn you either. Other than that I hope you all enjoy it and for those who don't please keep it to yourself.

Marcus walked through the forest casually, smiling at the pleasant weather. It had been a couple years since he last saw another human; but it didn't matter to him. He had always been harassed and ignored, and thus living amongst the humans was more of a nuisance than living alone but still the loneliness got to him at times.

Content on his daily sightseeing Marcus made a loop around a thicket of trees, doubling back on himself to return to the cave he had come to call home for the last several months. The closer he got the more he noticed an odd prickling at the back of his neck, like something was watching him.

Slowly Marcus turned around to find nothing making him frown.

"Hello is someone there?"

No response returned.

"Great: boring is as boring does. Now I find squirrels exciting." He grumbled, blaming the event on a woodland rodent and turning back towards his destination.

Soon Marcus came to his favorite part of the forest: a wide open area, laden by a canopy that parted in places, each special in its own way. One in particular bore a stump which, much to Marcus's pleasure, made for a more-than-comfortable chair.

He smiled and sat down. Smoke curled up around his lap and a guitar formed, one which his fingers readily took up. Yet so immersed was the youth in his song that, as his eyes closed to the music, he found himself unaware of the eyes that watched him from the nearby thicket.

The dragon chuckled at the human's performance, tapping her claw ever-so-slightly to the beat of the song. Oddly enough the human smelled of the forest more than he should – which made her curious – but had a dark smoky scent to him as well that reminded her of… someone…

Shrugging she lay down and continued to watch the human. A long while passed and, at length, Marcus slowed in his playing. He sighed contently and set the guitar on his lap slowly, opening his eyes. He blinked in surprise to find, just feet away, a large dragon, her body shimmering with a shade akin to that of an amethyst, watching him.

"Wow, I have never seen or heard anyone play that well with their eyes closed." She said, giggling at the expression on the humans face.

Marcus chuckled awkwardly, his entire body rigid with shock.

"Thanks, I have had a lot of practice. That's what I used to do all the time for to keep myself busy when I had nothing to do – and I have had a lot of free time over the past couple years."

He scratched the back of his head then looked at the dragon, smiling.

"So… um… how long were you watching me?"

She gave another girlish giggle.

"I have been watching you all day – to be honest I can be very quiet when I want to be."

Marcus returned her smile.

"Well you kinda surprised me to be honest. Datheira… you have gotten really good at being stealthy. Of course we humans have bad hearing so it's a bit of a moot point."

Another giggle from the dragon brightened Marcus's smile.

"I guess it would – but why are you so far from the cave again, Marcus? It's the middle of winter and you're always in this clearing. What is so special to you about this place Marcus?"

"This is where we first met. I had always come here before to clear my mind. The day I saw you emerge from those trees was the biggest surprise I ever had… but that day is also one of the happiest I have had. I come here all the time to clear my mind – there is just something I like about this place. It just has a feeling to it that I can't place my finger on..."

Marcus shivered a bit as he finished, wrapping his arms around himself as if to hold in his body heat.

"Wow, it's getting cold out! How long was I playing?

"I would say it's been about an hour, are you just now noticing the cold? Wow, we really need to do something about those trances you go into!"

"What?! But I don't want to fix them! That's what I do when I want to wind down; it's a sort of meditative state for me." Marcus returned as he rubbed his friend's side.

"Well you need to find a place to do it that isn't as cold to play your guitar." Datheira smiled and nuzzled Marcus.

The human gave a perplexed smile back at Datheira as he hugged her muzzle.

"What do you mean by that?"

Marcus felt something behind him and turned around curious as to what it was then felt something warm move across his back. Slowly he turned back towards Datheira and yelled in surprise as he was licked across the face. He stood there blinking for a couple seconds slightly stunned then gave an awkward, somewhat worried chuckle.

"Heh… what's wrong, Datheira, are you hungry?"

Datheira purred, giving her friend a seductive look.

"Perhaps… a little."

She grinned slyly at Marcus then licked him across the face again.

He moved to wipe the saliva off his face then felt a warm gentle pressure around his waist then yelled in surprise as he was lifted off the ground and pulled into a warmer place. The darkness of the dragon's maw surrounded him as the human attempted to relax, more than a little unnerved by the vibrating tongue beneath him.

"Are you comfortable in there, Marcus?" Datheira asked, her purring constant as she lay down amid the evergreens.

"I guess…" he offered, taken somewhat off guard by the question as he rubbed the tongue beneath him assuredly.

"Well I am glad you're happy in there, then."

She closed her eyes and slowly tilted her head back, smiling as she felt Marcus sliding towards her throat, purring as she swallowed.

Marcus laughed realizing what was happening and began to squirm and struggle – though something told him he could trust the dragon, even with his life. The human even found himself able to enjoy the experience, smiling as the heartbeat of the dragon became ever louder and the purring ebbed into the constant buzzing of Datheira's body.

He almost smiled as he felt himself fall into a soft, moist chamber and squirmed around, getting himself more comfortable as he listened to Datheira's guts shift about around him.

"Heh…" He muttered. "Thanks for getting me out of the cold Datheira."

Almost on impulse a hand moved up to rub a nearby wall of flesh, drawing another loud chorus of purrs.

"Good night, Marcus," the dragon cooed, spreading her wings as she prepared to fly back to the cave. It was the first time she had eaten him; and, truly, he was safe. He was tastier than she expected and, not surprisingly, she hoped he would be willing to dine with her again…
